I needed some sample pages in the "crime/ neo-noir" genre, so I made up some characters… and now it's a whole thing that's "in development" in my head. :)
It's fun casting yourself as one of the leads. ;P
Also included here are some quick color tests to see how well the color would work with the gray tones, and to see how a simpler "cut" coloring style would work on my B&W art. I quite like it. I'm trying to remember if any colorist has used a similar style as opposed to a "modeled" style on my work, and I don't think they have, but I think the simpler style allows the line work to breathe a little… they just seem like complimentary styles. It's something I'd like to explore further.
