This was a fun commission for a client's little boy, aged 8. He's really into comics, and so the idea was to make him his own super-hero and present it as a comic book cover that was blown up into a 24x36 poster for him. Everything about this project was based on his answers to the parents' subtle questions. The costume, his powers, the character’s name, everything, is from his imagination which I then took and translated into a pro-quality design.
This also marks the first piece that was 90% done in Clip Studio Paint on my iPad. The B&W version and initial color version were completed on the iPad, while the typography was done on the desktop and I threw another gradient onto the background as well to tie it into the logo I designed.
